About Nellie
I am trying a new home to see if i like it. Nellie was extremely thin and underweight when she came to her foster carer and weighed only 4 kilos but, with lots of love and regular meals, she is starting to put on weight. For such a tiny dog, nellie has a huge personality. She is brimming with confidence and is very alert and inquisitive. Nellie has become attached to all the members of her foster family and keeps them amused with her antics. She has lots of fun playing with her toys, especially her squeaky toy. She also loves a cuddle, and snuggling up on the lounge next to her carers, but she is also happy to sleep in her own bed at night. Much to the delight of her foster carer, nellie has been absolutely fabulous with her house training. She has learned to use the doggy door and, while she definitely prefers being inside, will take herself outside several times during the day to have a run around the garden and to check what is going on outside. Nellie really enjoys her walks and, when her lead appears, dances on her back legs with excitement, and begs with her front paws. She is absolutely great to take for a walk as she is a very fast walker and does not waste any time at all sniffing as she just wants to see what is around the next corner. Nellie also loves a trip to the doggy park to chase the other dogs around and, for her, the bigger the better as she seems to love chasing the biggest dogs in the park. A home with owners who want to spend a lot of time with nellie and give her the exercise she loves would be ideal. She would also do well with another doggy companion as they would spend many happy hours entertaining each other. Because she is a very tiny dog, a home with young children would not be suitable. Nellie is an inside dog but must have access to the outside at all times. Nellie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $400 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. She has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic). If you would like more information on nellie or to arrange to meet her, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading.
