About Poppy *On Trial*
*poppy is currently trialling her new home* dumped at our local pound at only 7 weeks of age this cute pup is poppy and we’re hoping to find her a caring home so she’ll never end up in a lousy situation like that again!
cheeky little poppy’s now safe in foster care and having a ball with her carer’s children and loves being around other dogs, even if she does annoy them with her fascination with their fluffy tails, and she’s even good with the household cat! she’s an affectionate, friendly puppy who loves cuddles and playtime. Poppy’s terrific when it comes to food and even enjoys steamed veggies which is great considering she hasn’t had the best start to life diet-wise. While in care poppy will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and as she’s only a young pup she will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so she grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep poppy stimulated are also a necessity so she doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. We reckon poppy will be a medium sized dog once she finishes growing. As poppy is used to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle (she’s going well with her toilet training) we would like to see this continue in her forever home with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s a pup.
