About Baby Millie (On Trial)
Adopted on 1/10. Please consider shih tzu sammy http://www. Petrescue. Com. Au/external view animal. Cfm?animal=122065&list=dogs&sort=newestfirst and all our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au. . . This fluffy little bundle of love and mischief is millie, 12 week old purebred shih tzu puppy, weighing only 2kgs. She's no delicate toy though, she's a real dog who loves to be outside and have a rough and tumble with my other two dogs who are medium and large size. She can hold her own with the boys! she doesn't mind digging a hole while she's outside either and loves to stalk and chase any bird that happens to visit the garden. She's a healthy, active little girl who enjoys going new places and meeting new people. She learns quickly and can already sit and is housetrained. . . Though millie enjoys the outdoors she is an inside dog and is not a dog to be left outside all day alone. A doggy door would be ideal for her. She likes to come inside and snuggle up and give and receive lots of cuddles. She likes to chew and play with her toys. She will play by herself a bit but prefers to have someone who will toss her toys around for her and have a little game. . . She sleeps indoors in her favourite plastic storage bin and will let you know if she needs to be let out to do a wee. She is a little bit shy at meal times and sometimes needs to be encouraged to eat by feeding her a little bit by hand at the start. This will diminish soon as she gets a bit older and more confident. . . Millie adores other dogs and would be happy to go to a home where there is another friendly dog for company. She hasn't met any cats yet but is young enough to learn to accept them as just another member of the family. She's not suitable to a home with children under 6 years because they might accidently hurt her. Millie is so small she will need very good fences with no gaps which she could get under or through. A property check will be done. . . Millie doesn't shed so she will need brushing daily, and bathing every few weeks, and professional clipping approximately every 4 to 8 weeks, which will cost approximately $50. . . Like all puppies, millie will need someone who will take the time to give her a great start in the world by spending plenty of time with her, socialising her with new people, animals and places, providing basic training, and hopefully taking her to puppy pre-school. . . Millie will be required to be desexed before she is 6 months old and our adoption fee includes her desexing at one of our approved vets. Our adoption fee also includes her first and second vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. Dog rescue newcastle www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com.
