Fruit Cake

Fruit Cake's story is one we hear way too often. A product of people not desexing their cats and then left to continue the breeding cycle on the streets.

Thankfully for Fruit Cake and her fruity siblings, a kind member of the public showed them kindness and compassion, making sure their future would be safe. They were lovingly cared for until they could be handed into the pound where they did their impound time. No one came forward to claim them, which is usually the case when it comes to kittens, so they were released into the care of SAFE Hedland and entered foster care.

Because they were raised on the streets to a stray Mum, they've had to fight for survival from the very beginning. It's a cruel world out there for cats on the street and they need to be on constant alert to stay alive. We're so glad they are now SAFE and loved, but they'll need a home that is understanding of their past and will give them a little time and patience to adjust to their new homes. We know they want so badly to be loved, but they need to know they're safe before they can truely let their guards down and relax 100% of the time.

If you're in Hedland we can arrange a meet and greet, but if you're from out of town we can arrange a phone call with their foster carers instead.

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.
