About Matilda
Matilda is a sweet, affectionate little girl with a heart full of love and plenty of cuddles to give. Having spent much of her life in a shelter, she's now discovering just how wonderful life as a pampered house cat can be. She's initially a shy girl who can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once she gets to know you, her loving personality shines through and you'll quickly discover what a genuine little love bug she is.
One of Matilda's favourite things in the world is being close to her people. She loves head pats, cuddles and kisses, and will happily follow you around the house to keep you company. Whether you're working away from home or pottering around doing your daily activities, Matilda is quite content just being nearby and involved in whatever you're up to.
But perhaps her most special and adorable trait is her love of giving hugs! Once she trusts you, she'll put her little paw on your chest, start making biscuits and gently rest her head against you. It's her own special way of showing affection, and it's hard not to fall completely in love with a girl who gives hugs like that ❤️
Matilda also has a wonderfully playful side and loves having a feline friend to interact with. She's been having a wonderful time playing tag with her foster family's resident cat, and would thrive in a home with another friendly, cat-social companion to share her days with.
Matilda would love a home where she can enjoy all the comforts of indoor life, plenty of affection and a family who will give her a little time to settle into her new surroundings. In return, she'll bring so much love, companionship and the sweetest little hugs into your life. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will follow you around, keep you company and happily snuggle up close, Matilda might just be your perfect match.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
