About Dolly
Introducing Dolly!
Dolly is a Domestic Medium Hair born approx 15th August 2024.
Dolly was transferred to us from another facility due to kennel capacity issues. Unfortunately she wasn't microchipped, so we have no information on her previous history, other than a belly full of kittens and glowing review from all staff at the other facility.
The day after Dolly arrived she gave birth to five beautiful little babies and she was an amazing mum to them. Now that her kittens have been weaned from her she's on the lookout for her new forever family.
Since being with us, Dolly has been an absolutely gorgeous girl and we have all fallen head over heels for her. She's incredibly affectionate, she loves having her cheeks, neck & back scratched. Dolly will sit in your lap if you let her, so she would make a lovely lap cat.
Dolly has loved every treat she's tried so far.. honestly.. there hasn't been any she's turned away from.
While she didn't seem to know what toys were when she first arrived, Dolly has started showing her playful side and started to play with toys.
Dolly tested quite well with other cats while she was pregnant, however like most mumma's, once her babies were born she became quite protective of them & no longer wanted to be around other cats. She hasn't been tested with others since being on her own again. Given her initial reaction to other cats, we believe Dolly could be suitable to live with others, or she'd be happy being the only spoilt "child" at home.
While we haven't seen Dolly interact with children, given how confident & affectionate she is, we don't see there being any issue with her living with children however we would recommend bringing in all members of the family so we can ensure both parties are comfortable with each other.
Dolly will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an inside cat only.
Dolly is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most families.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
