Say G’day G’day to Slim Dusty, an absolute sweetheart. If you found yourself stranded at a Pub With No Beer, you’d want this guy by your side to console you (he’s very good at cuddles).

Slim Dusty is a very easy guy to have around. This boy is no Cattle Camp Crooner, he hardly ever uses his voice. Definitely not the Great Australian Whinger. His big melting eyes are usually enough to convey his message and get what he wants.

Despite his young age, Slim Dusty is not a high-energy dog. Don’t get me wrong - he loves a walk (he might even Walk A Country Mile), or a run around the backyard, but is also very happy to claim his spot on the couch (preferably next to - or on - you).
We sometimes call him the Incredible Bendy Boy (no, that one’s not a Slim Dusty song title) because he will contort his body into hilarious poses just to squeeze himself onto an already occupied couch.

Slim Dusty gets along well with humans, teenage boys (yep, they’re a separate species), and dogs big and small. He prefers calm dogs and avoids high energy and aggressive dogs. He even likes cats. The only time he drew the line was when the resident cat jumped up on the couch and tried to rub its face along his face. A guy has to have boundaries. A gentle growl and the cat remembered he had somewhere else he needed to be!

This fella walks well on lead, doesn’t jump on people, is house trained and sleeps through the night in his own bed (although he would much prefer yours). Fair Dinkum, he is a Certain Kind of Gold.

Warning: If you’re fond of your shoes, don’t leave them unattended. He’ll be very fond of them too, and finds them delightful to chew.

So Don’t Fool Around Anymore, you’ll be feeling The Biggest Disappointment and travelling a Lonesome Road of Tears if you miss out on this boy. Adopt him and you’ll Never Never regret it. He can’t wait until he’s Finally Made It Home.
