Meet Berry. 🍓🐾

She's just 3 years old, a beautiful little Doxiepoo with the sweetest face, an enormous personality and a fighting spirit that refuses to give up.

Berry is living with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease), a spinal condition that has changed her life.

She uses wheels to help her get around, attends physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, and is learning to navigate the world a little differently.

Berry is also incontinent.

That means she needs someone who understands that caring for her involves more than cuddles and cute photos. There will be cleaning, toileting care, extra washing and a level of commitment that not everyone is prepared for.

And that's okay. We would rather be upfront about her needs than see her let down by someone who wasn't prepared.

But here's what we really want you to know.

Berry doesn't know she's different. ❤️

She doesn't measure her worth by whether her legs work the way they should or whether she can control her bladder.

She wants to explore. She loves going for swims. She has a cheeky little personality, a determination to keep moving and a whole lot of life still waiting to be lived.

She doesn't need pity.

She needs someone willing to see the dog beyond the disability.

🏡 WE'RE LOOKING FOR A VERY SPECIAL HOME FOR BERRY.

Someone who:
🐾 Has experience with IVDD or is genuinely prepared to learn about her complex care needs.

🐾 Understands incontinence and is comfortable providing ongoing hygiene and toileting care.

🐾 Is home most of the time and can give Berry the attention she needs.

🐾 Is committed to supporting her mobility, physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.

🐾 Has the patience, compassion and dedication to love her through the messy days as much as the wonderful ones.

We know Berry isn't going to be the right dog for everyone. But we also know that somewhere out there is someone for whom Berry will be absolutely everything.

At Wiener Crew Rescue, we believe every dog deserves dignity, comfort, love and the opportunity to live their best possible life.

Disability doesn't make Berry disposable.

Incontinence doesn't make her unlovable.

And needing a little extra care doesn't make her any less deserving of a home. 🧡
