About Mia
Meet Mia: The Reigning Princess of Fluff! 👑🐾
Hi there! I’m Mia, a gorgeous Pomeranian who is proof that age is just a number.
On our daily walks, people are always shocked by how spritely and energetic I am, I still’ve got plenty of pep in my step!
When I’m at home, I take my job as your personal shadow very seriously. Wherever you go, I go. I am a true center-of-attention kind of gal and a certified snuggle bug who loves nothing more than being right by your side.
At night, I like to nestle in my cozy safe spot right underneath my foster mum’s bed. But when morning comes, watch out! I’ll hop right up and stretch across the bed, taking up as much space as possible to make sure you give me all the morning pats and cuddles I deserve.
Because I love my humans so much, I’m looking for an adopter who is home more often than not, as I prefer not to be left alone for long stretches.
House Training: I'm pretty good with my toilet habits!
However, like any dog, I will need a little time to adjust to my new environment and routines, so a family who offers some grace and patience while I settle in would be wonderful.
The Food Critic: I consider myself an elite culinary food tester. I like to take my time and choose my meals wisely, so I’ll need a human with plenty of patience for my unique dining habits.
The Glamour Queen 👑 : Being this gorgeous is a full-time job! I’m a majestic fluffball who needs frequent brushing and grooming. I won’t lie—I’m not a huge fan of the brush, so gentle hands and lots of treats are a must.
The Only Child 🐶 : I firmly believe I am the one and only princess in the kingdom. Because of this, I need to be the only dog in the family so I can hog all the love, cuddles, and adoration for myself.
If you’re looking for a devoted, lively little companion to spoil rotten, I’m your girl! Apply to meet me today.

Adoption Process
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue Inc:
You will be asked to complete an Online Adoption Application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog you are applying for will fit your family. Some dogs have special needs so we may be looking for a specific forever home.
After you have completed the Online Adoption Application, we will have the information to determine if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Keeping in mind some dogs are rather popular, this usually means we receive 100's of applications for the one dog.
If your application fits the needs of the dog we will send you an email requesting photos of your yard and proof of identity.
** Proof of identity is required to ensure we know who we are inviting to our foster carers home**
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that you bring along your children and your dog to meet your potential new family member.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
If your application is approved, now is the time to invest in a dog harness, lead, bedding and toys.
All adoption fees must be cleared before our dogs can be collected from our carers. Our carers are not permitted to accept cash. Bank deposit/transfers only.
We offer a 2 week trial period - if your new family member is not settling please contact SEQ K9 Rescue Inc via email immediately. We are happy to assist with training or advice if the dog has not settled. Most dogs do not settle within the first 24 hours, please understand your home and family are all new experiences for them.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the dog is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be available.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the dog. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
** With CoVid transport may not be available to all areas of Australia**
If the dog is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue Inc in Brisbane.
We believe "All dogs deserve a forever home".
