About Ducky
Janet
DUCKY – SMALL BUT MIGHTY!
Hi, I'm Ducky, 6.5 kg of absolute adorableness!
Although I'm small, don't underestimate me. I've been holding my own with two other dogs, one called Hercules (say no more!) and Ziggy, a Terrier cross.
We've all been getting on famously, and I particularly love playing chasey with Hercules. You might think I'd be a little intimidated by such a big dog, but not me! I'm not scared of him at all.
I've been in my foster home exactly one week today and I absolutely love my temporary humans. I love sitting on their laps, lying on the lounge cover and sleeping in my own bed. I also love standing up on my two back legs, reaching out for a pat. It makes me feel 10 feet tall!
I'm suitable for children aged 5 and over, as my little balancing act could knock younger children over.
Ziggy and I go for a morning walk together, and I'm a good little walker on the lead.
It's funny, all three of us dogs sleep in my carer's bedroom and, as long as I have a little pit stop before bedtime, she doesn't hear a peep out of me until morning. What a good boy!
Now, I have to confess that I've been a little naughty during my first week. I'm rather fond of marking my territory inside the house. It's not a real problem though because the house is tiled throughout. Ha ha! I also have a doggy door, so I can let myself outside to do my business, and I'm slowly starting to get out of the marking habit. I'm a work in progress!
Actually, my human would love to foster-fail with me, but if she did, she wouldn't be in a position to keep fostering and helping other dogs. So, I'm pretty confident that somewhere out there is a special forever home just waiting for me!
I eat well (although I run on the smell of an oily rag!), take my medication without a fuss and am pretty much an all-over wash-and-wear little dog.
So, what are you waiting for? Please give me my forever home. You won't regret it!
I've got a cheeky personality, a huge capacity for snuggles and so much love to give. Remember, I'm small but mighty, and I might just be the little dog who steals your heart! ❤️
