About Smokey
🩶 Meet Smokey – a shy little sweetheart with a cheeky side! 🐾
Smokey might be a little reserved when you first meet her, but don't let that fool you! This gorgeous girl is secretly very curious and will keep a close eye on everything you're doing. She might prefer to observe from a safe distance initially, but you can bet she's watching every move! 👀
And while she may seem like the quiet one, Smokey has a surprisingly mischievous side. She's often the main instigator of play fights with her feline friends, proving that there's a cheeky little personality hiding beneath that shy exterior! 😹
One thing Smokey absolutely adores is older, calm and gentle cats. She's fascinated by what they're doing and loves keeping an eye on them, making a friendly, confident feline companion a wonderful addition to her new home.
Smokey will need a quiet, patient home without young children or grabby hands, where she can explore, build confidence and come out of her shell in her own time. She may take a little while to trust, but with understanding and patience, we know she has all the potential to become a beautiful little lovebug. 💕
And perhaps her most adorable quirk? Smokey doesn't really meow! Instead, she communicates with the tiniest little chirps, chattering away with her feline friends like a little budgie. It's the sweetest sound and just another reason to fall in love with her! 🎶
If you have a peaceful home, a little patience and a soft spot for the quieter kitties, Smokey could be the special girl you've been waiting for. 🩶
Our adoptable cats are indoor-only to keep them safe, healthy and happy. We ask all adopters to provide a secure indoor home where their new companion can thrive.
For all cats under 12 months old, Rocky Roads Rescue has a strict, no single kittens adoption policy. Solo adoptions will only be permitted if specified in the cat's profile.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.
We appreciate your understanding.

Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
Thank you for helping us give these kittens the loving, social homes they deserve!
