About Alfie - 5 Year Old English Staffy
Meet Alfie ❤️ Your New Favourite Cuddle Buddy!
Are you looking for a loyal companion who is just as happy spending a quiet afternoon on the lounge as he is heading out for a little stroll? Meet Alfie!
Alfie is a loving, affectionate boy who absolutely loves being close to his people. He’s happiest curled up beside you on the lounge, enjoying a sunny spot in the yard or snoozing the day away. He enjoys his little walks, his tough toys and, most importantly, being part of the family.
Alfie can be boisterous and excitable when meeting new people and may jump up to say hello. He can also be strong on the lead, so he would benefit from someone who can continue working on his manners and provide patient, positive guidance.
Alfie has found living with young children challenging. We believe he would be happiest in a home without young children. A home with adults or older, dog-aware children (8+) would be best suited to him. Alfie needs to be the only pet in the household, with no other dogs or cats. A secure yard and a loving family who enjoy a quieter lifestyle would be ideal.
Alfie does have some ongoing medical needs, including monthly Cytopoint injections for his skin allergies and daily anxiety medication, which we are currently working towards reducing under vet advice. He can also become distressed during storms and may dig or scratch at doors if separated from his family.
Alfie’s ideal home would be with:
❤️A single person, couple or family with older children (8+) who understand dogs and can respect his boundaries.
❤️Someone who enjoys having an affectionate companion close by.
❤️A secure backyard where he can relax and enjoy the sunshine.
❤️A home where he is the only pet, with no other dogs or cats.
❤️Someone willing to continue supporting him with his training and anxiety around storms and other triggers.
Alfie is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can feel safe, loved and settled. He doesn’t need endless adventures, just a little walk, his favourite toys, a sunny spot to lie in and someone to cuddle up with at the end of the day.
Could you be the person Alfie has been waiting for?
Barry is desexed, vaccinated and treated for fleas, ticks and worms. He is in care in Woongarrah, NSW. His adoption fee is $500.
