About Rocky - 1.5 Year Old Shih Tzu X Maltese
Rocky is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old, 13kg male Shih Tzu x Maltese. This little guy has a big personality! He loves squeaky toys, sniffing out treats, zoomies and cuddling up beside his people. Expect plenty of kisses, belly rub requests and the occasional stolen spot on the couch!
Rocky needs a calm, quiet, adult-only home with people home most of the time (he can manage a few hours alone). He would be best as the only pet, where he can enjoy all the attention.
He can be timid around unfamiliar people and new environments, so patient owners who allow him time and space to settle are essential. Once comfortable, he's incredibly affectionate and loyal. 🥰
Rocky enjoys short, sniffy walks and generally walks well on lead but is reactive to dogs and cats. He is receiving professional training and making fantastic progress. His new family must be committed to continuing his training.
He thrives on a fresh food diet, which also helps manage his allergies. These are currently well controlled with vet-prescribed medication and lifestyle adjustments, all of which his new family will need to continue.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
