About Olive SUK015896
Meet Olive, a gorgeous teenage girl with a beautiful personality just waiting to blossom! This sweet young lady can be quite shy and nervous when meeting new people or finding herself in unfamiliar surroundings. The big wide world can feel a little overwhelming at times, so Olive will need a patient and understanding human who is happy to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and secure.
Once Olive has settled in and learnt that she can trust you, her lovely personality begins to shine! Beneath that timid exterior is an affectionate, playful sweetheart who loves spending time with her favourite people. She enjoys a good game with her toys, but she's equally happy curling up on a warm lap for some well-deserved cuddles and relaxation. Once you've earned her trust, you'll discover just how much love this gorgeous girl has to give.
Olive's perfect home will be a calm, loving environment with a predictable routine and someone who understands that building confidence takes time. She won't necessarily be the first to rush over and say hello, but with gentle encouragement, patience and plenty of love, this little treasure will blossom into a wonderful companion.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
