About Birdie
Meet Birdie, a little wallflower waiting for someone to help her spread her wings. 🐦🤎
At just 9 months old, this pretty tabby girl is still figuring out that us humans aren't quite as strange as we sometimes seem!
Birdie came into our care with no signs of previous ownership, so the big wide world of living with people is still something she's getting used to. She's a quiet and shy little soul who may choose to hide while she takes everything in, but don't let that fool you. Beneath that cautious exterior is a very sweet girl who enjoys gentle pats and a little one-on-one company.
Birdie is looking for a special kind of home. Somewhere calm and peaceful, with a chilled-out adult or adults who understand that confidence takes time to grow. No children, please. We'd love to find her some cat-savvy humans who can read her body language, respect her boundaries and let her come out of her shell at her own pace.
She's not going to be the life of the party or demand attention the moment you walk through the door. Instead, Birdie is more of a quiet cup-of-tea-and-a-good-book kind of companion. Sit with her quietly, offer some gentle affection and let her discover that having her very own humans can be a pretty wonderful thing.
Birdie will need patience, understanding and plenty of TLC as she settles into her new home. In return, you'll have the privilege of watching a timid little girl grow in confidence and discover her own special way of showing affection.
We're hoping there's someone out there who sees the beauty in the quieter kitties and knows that sometimes the most rewarding friendships are the ones that take a little longer to blossom.
Could you be Birdie's safe place?
Come and meet this sweet little girl at Wat Djerring Animal Facility. She'd love a chance to find her very own forever home. 🤎🐾
