Bruce

Meet sweet little Bruce!

He is a bright, energetic and adventurous young boy with a big personality.

***you must have acreage with plenty of room for Bruce to run and be committed to training him as he grows***

This little guy needs to have a job.

Bruce is a kelpie x border collie. He is intelligent, active and a highly driven pup who is always looking for things to do. He is playful, curious and affectionate. He thrives when he has something to keep his mind and body occupied.

Bruce is young and has plenty to learn, but has the potential to grow into an incredible companion for someone who has experience with working breeds and can provide the lifestyle he needs.

Bruce is looking for a very specific type of home where he can truly thrive. His ideal home would be a large acreage property with plenty of space for him to explore, run and develop his working dog instincts. It is essential Bruce is adopted to a home with experience with working breeds and understands the mental and physical simulation they require.

Bruce needs a purpose. Whether that’s learning to work livestock, having a job around the property, participating in dog sports and being given structured daily activities. He requires more than just exercise. He needs an outlet for his intelligence and energy.

A confident, well socialised adult dog in the home would be a huge bonus, providing Bruce with companionship and helping him learn appropriate doggy manners as he grows up.

His new family will need to be committed to ongoing training, consistency, boundaries and helping him develop into a well mannered adult dog.

Bruce has so much potential, and he’s looking for someone that can recognise that and provide the environment, guidance and purpose that he deserves.

Bruce is full of personality and is always on the go. He loves exploring, playing, investigating and finding ways to keep himself busy. He is a very playful boy who loves interacting with other dogs and would happily spend all day discovering new things.

He loves swimming, eating, rough housing with other dogs and going on new adventures.

Bruce is a young pup and is a work in progress. He is very intelligent with so much potential! He is still working on appropriate behaviours and boundaries.

Bruce will benefit from consistent, positive enforcement training and an adopter who is willing to invest time into his development. Continued work on basic obedience, recall, lead manners and calm behaviour is very important.

Bruce has come such a long way in the short time he has been in foster care. He has improved immensely with crate training, lead walking, toilet training and basic obedience.
