Passion *On Trial*

*passion is currently trialling her new home* if you’re after a doggie companion without going through the “puppy stage” you can’t go past this beautiful, loving girl! passion is a delightful dog, you can tell she’s been well loved which is why her surrender to sarg for rehousing has been reluctant but we have promised to find her a loving home where she can continue to be adored as much as she always has been!!

sweet passion is an excitable, happy dog whose tail never stops wagging especially when she’s receiving her favourite belly rubs! passion likes to staffy “talk”; she grunts, snuffles and barks in a muffled way to say hello when she's excited to see you. Passion can be strong-willed and likes to be the “top dog” when it comes to socialising with other dogs though not in an aggressive way. She isn’t fussy when it comes to food and even enjoys raw vegetables. Rescued nearly 3 years ago, as a young pup, from our local pound passion is pretty close to a purebred staffy though with her longer legs and slightly over-shot jaw we wouldn’t be at all surprised to find boxer in her ancestry. Passion is now in foster care where her carer has been helping her to brush-up on her obedience training – she knows “sit”, “drop” and “roll over” and they’re working on “stay”. She’s getting on well with her carer’s cattle dog x who’s a submissive boy. As passion pulls a little on a lead, her carer finds it easier to walk her using a 'gentle leader'; passion now walks like a dream on it! she does jump up when she gets excited though knows the “down” command and will settle fairly quickly. As passion is housetrained we would love to find her a home where she can enjoy an inside / outside lifestyle with either a friendly dog for companionship or on her own so long as she won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while she’s settling into her new home. Secure fences, daily walks, bones to chew and toys to play with will make passion very happy indeed!!
