Meet Otis, a gentle giant with a whole lot of love to give 🐾

At 55kg, Otis is a big boy but it’s his beautiful, gentle nature that will win your heart.

This lovely 6-year-old Great Dane x Mastiff has been a treasured family member since puppyhood. His favourite things are simple: relaxing on the lounge, enjoying a snooze on the bed and being close to the people he loves. He’s grown up alongside children, happily keeping them company while they play, and is very much accustomed to being part of everyday family life ❤️

Otis is friendly, affectionate and easygoing. He has been raised with a Maltese Poodle and is comfortable around other dogs. His suitability with cats, pocket pets and livestock is unknown.

He’s toilet trained, knows “sit” and “stay”, and walks on a lead, although a little refresher training would help polish his lead manners and recall. He can manage normal working hours alone, with no known separation anxiety. He isn’t a fence jumper, though he occasionally enjoys digging when bored or burying a bone!

His ideal home? A loving family who understands large breeds, welcomes him indoors and has plenty of room in their heart and on their lounge. Secure fencing, companionship and regular opportunities to stretch his legs will help him feel right at home.

Otis’s family is heartbroken to be rehoming him. Their young children suffer severe allergies to dog hair and dander, and despite considerable efforts to manage their symptoms, they need to find him a new home for the children’s health. Otis has been deeply loved, and they want nothing more than a safe, permanent home where that love will continue.
