Kevin

Kevin is the kind of dog who makes you feel like you've known him for ages, even when you've only just met.

At just one year old, Kevin has had a very intense start to his life, he's a super sweet, friendly guy, but unfortunately he missed out on a lot of curcial training and social experiences iin his puppy days. But he's beeing working with our behaviour trainers to learn how to regulate his emotions and focus on training and engaging with new people and dogs, and has made leaps and bounds in he progress!

He's come a very long way in his training, and can now appropriately interact and disengage from unfamiliar dogs, and is quickly learning how to walk nicely on lead without getting himself too excited.

He can still get a little overwhelmed when things start to get exciting, so he'll need a quiet home with either adults only or a family with dog savvy secondary school aged kids who can inetarct with Kevin appropriately and keep things nice and chill.

He might also enjoy living with another doggo in his new home, so if you already have a dog looking for a friend, bring them to the meet and greet to ensure we have a good match!

We know Kevin might need a little extra love and care to become completely settled with his new home, but we also know this guy loves had and if given the chance, he'll be the best companion you could imagine.

No appointment is needed, so come and visit Kevin at our North Melbourne shelter. If you're interested in adopting him, our team can arrange a meet and greet. If you have children or another dog at home, please bring them along so they can meet Kevin too.
