About Samson
Allow us to introduce Samson.
This self-assured fellow was rescued as a friendly stray from a colony because he was injured. But he's now right as rain.
Affectionately nicknamed 'Scruncle Sammy' by his foster fam, Samson initially presents himself a bit like a grumpy old man thanks to his gravelly, vexed meow - but he's actually warm and pleasant company.
While not one to climb all over you like a more clingy feline, he does love to greet with affectionate head bomps and nudges when you walk into his presence, and he will accept a certain amount of pets... before mildly-spicily letting you know he’s done with the patting and it's time for you to get started on his next meal, chop chop.
So sure, he is very food driven, but he also LOVES hunting-style play time. Chasing a laser pointer around the room is one of his favourite ways to burn up some energy, and it'll quickly become one of your favourite evening activities too. Pro tip: remember to eventually give him something to succeed in catching or he might come to the conclusion that the whole game is just an exercise in futility and frustration.
Choose Samson if you're looking to share your home with a loyal, respectful, independent companion and confidante who will, quite reasonably, expect you to return the favour by observing his boundaries in a similar fashion, which includes giving him the time he needs to feel settled and safe. He really is good people.
