About Little Rascal
Meet Little Rascal
Small in size, BIG in love, and professionally trained in following you everywhere! Our gorgeous little guy is a 4 ½ kilo wee Schnauzer x with a scruffy terrier mix ( we believe) who will just melt your heart with his love . He is definitely an old soul in a young body as
Little Rascal is such a treasure for such a young dog.
Little Rascal is a sweet, affectionate little man who believes life is best spent with his favourite humans and four-legged friends. Give him a few moments to warm up, and he'll soon be ready for pats, cuddles, and some serious zoomies with his new doggy pals!
Fair warning: if you adopt this little guy, you'll be gaining a mini-sized shadow. Bathroom trips, housework, relaxing on the couch… wherever you go, there's a good chance Rascal will be right behind you!
Little Rascal's favourite place? Wherever his people or doggy pals happen to be!
He absolutely LOVES playing with other dogs, big or small. When his four-legged friends have called time on playtime, he's more than happy to entertain himself with his toys. But if he spots you sitting down, game over… your lap is officially occupied! We feel he would absolutely do best with another dog so he has a BFF and a furry friend to guide him as he matures.
He's a little bundle of love who enjoys being part of whatever is happening around him.
Rascal is a people-loving pup who just wants to be involved in all the fun. Give him a few seconds to warm up, and he'll be soaking up all the attention you're willing to give!
He's met children as young as six months old and has been very gentle with them. He's also happily accepted cuddles and being picked up by primary-school-aged children.
Of course, as with any young pup, little humans and Little Rascal should always be supervised together to make sure everyone stays safe and happy.
Whether you're inside or out in the backyard, if his people are there, that's where Rascal wants to be!
This clever little cookie is already picking up some great life skills, thanks in part to learning from his foster brother and sister. He's mastered the doggy door without any drama, his seat is coming along nicely, and he's just beginning his lead-walking adventures.
His recall is pretty impressive for such a young pup, too! But let's be honest… if something exciting catches his eye and looks chase-worthy, his ears can suddenly become very decorative.
Like all puppies, he'll need ongoing training, patience and consistency to help him grow into the best little dog he can be. A friendly, well-mannered canine companion could be a fantastic role model, as Rascal is quite the copycat!
If you haven't figured it out yet, Little Rascal LOVES other dogs!
He's still learning his doggy manners and boundaries, but he listens when his foster siblings tell him he's overstepped the mark. A home with a friendly canine companion would be right up his alley.
He's also met a cat and was very intrigued. With the right introduction, he may be able to live with a dog-friendly cat who doesn't mind the occasional game of chasey.
Pocket pets haven't been tested, and given his enthusiasm for chasing things, a home without them would be the safer bet.
Little Rascal loves company and isn't quite a fan of being left on his own just yet. He can be a little vocal when separated from his people, but he's still young and has plenty of time to learn that alone time isn't so scary.
The good news? He's managed full workdays at his foster home with his doggy pals for company, and the house has been left untouched!
A canine companion and continued, positive training around independence will help him build confidence as he grows.
Little Rascal wants to be where the action is! He'd thrive in a home where he's included in everyday family life, gets plenty of affection and has people who enjoy having a little furry sidekick around.
Even better? A friendly doggy sibling to play with, learn from and snuggle up beside.
He's not asking for the world… just to be loved and included in it.
He's only had a couple of indoor accidents in foster care and worked out how to use the doggy door by day two. He's had access to both indoors and outdoors while his foster parents are at work, which has helped him along beautifully.
He also follows the usual puppy routine of heading outside after meals, after long naps and before bedtime. Like any young dog, he'll need consistency and a little patience as he continues to master his toilet-training skills.
If Little Rascal had his way, he'd be snuggled up in bed with his favourite humans every night!
For now, he's learning that his crate can be a cosy, safe place to sleep. He might have a little protest for the first 5–10 minutes, but once he settles, he sleeps through the night without a peep
Not a bad effort for a little man who'd much rather be in the middle of the cuddle pile!
Being a little guy, Rascal might need a helping hand getting into the car, but once he's aboard, he's a champion traveller!
He settles in nicely, saves his energy for the journey and is ready to make the most of whatever adventure awaits at the other end. Adventure buddy? Absolutely
Little Rascal isn't shaping up to be a high-energy athlete just yet. He's still a growing puppy, so his exercise currently consists of short walks around the block, plenty of playtime with his foster siblings and little training sessions to keep his clever mind busy.
He's all about short bursts of fun followed by whatever the day brings next. As he grows, his exercise and adventures can gradually grow with him!
This little man knows when he's had enough! He eats until he's satisfied, then happily walks away rather than feeling the need to clean his bowl at all costs.
That said, mention the word treat and you've definitely got his attention!
Little Rascal's Ideal Home
Little Rascal would love a home where his humans are around regularly to shower him with love, include him in everyday life and help him continue learning all the important puppy things.
If you're working full-time, a friendly female canine companion would be a big bonus to keep him company.
A backyard enough to run around and do zoomies
He doesn't ask for much: a cosy place to call home, food in his belly, toys to keep him entertained, and people and doggy pals to love.
But what does he gives in return? Endless affection, a whole lot of laughs, playful puppy antics and a little shadow who thinks you're the best thing in the world.
He might be little, but his personality is anything but!
Could Little Rascal be the missing piece of your family? If you're looking for a sweet, sociable, affectionate little companion who's ready to fill your days with cuddles, fun and a whole lot of love, this little man might just be your perfect match.
