Meet Swish,
A shy little lady with a whole lot of love hiding behind those whiskers!
Swish might be a little reserved when you first meet her, but don't let that timid exterior deter you - there's a seriously smoochy little cat just waiting to make her debut! Give her a little patience, a gentle approach and a few well-placed cheek scratches, and you'll soon have her leaning into your hands asking for more. She's also quite partial to a good butt scratch! Swish isn't particularly interested in being picked up, preferring to keep all four paws on the ground while soaking up your love and adoration. Toys aren't really her thing, Licki treats, however - now you've got her attention! She's a big fan of the tasty stuff, although she'll graciously accept dry treats if the good stuff runs out. Swish is also litter trained but appreciates having multiple trays available. A girl likes options, after all!
Swish is looking for a quieter home where she can take life at her own pace, enjoy plenty of peaceful afternoons and collect cuddles whenever the mood strikes. She would suit a first-time cat owner or a family with children aged 10yrs and over who understand that friendships can take time. She's also shown some lovely social skills with other cats, offering little chirps, curious sniffs and even a spot of grooming, so she may happily share her home with another friendly feline following slow introductions. Swish might not be the life of the party, but she's certainly got the makings of a wonderful little love bug! All she needs is someone willing to give her the time and space to show just how affectionate she can be.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
