Meet Ulani
A lady with a serious face-card, a soft heart and absolutely no time for nonsense!
Ulani is one of those girls who looks like she's silently judging your every life decision, but don't let that permanently unimpressed expression fool you! Behind that serious little face is a sweet, smoochy girl who's just particular about how she makes friends. She prefers a polite introduction and a moment to sniff your hand before deciding whether you've earned the privilege of patting her. Once she's comfy, the attitude melts away - she loves head and chin scratches, will happily roll over for affection and might even offer a tiny love nibble. She's not grumpy, she's just got standards, and we respect that! Ulani is also a lady of routine who enjoys a good-morning chat, although we suspect that's mostly to remind you breakfast is due. She's fond of wet food on a licki mat, enjoys mousse treats and prefers a peaceful afternoon instead of toys and playtime. She's independent, litter trained and appreciates affection on her own terms - preferably with all four paws firmly on the ground!
Ulani would be happiest in a quiet household with an experienced, cat-savvy owner who understands her boundaries and allows her to build trust at her own pace. She's best suited to a home with older children and would like to be the only cat in the home. Ulani isn't looking for someone to fuss over her every waking moment, she's simply waiting for someone who understands that behind every wonderfully unimpressed little face, there might just be a very affectionate cat waiting for the right person to bring out her softer side.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
