🐾 MEET PEBBLES
Something rather lovely is happening with little Pebbles. While her brothers are busy playing together, she's increasingly choosing to leave the fun and follow her foster mum around the house, perfectly content just to be near her.
It's a delightful glimpse of the affectionate, loyal companion this beautiful little girl is becoming.
Pebbles' own mum (pictured) is described as a loving and devoted family dog, and it seems her daughter may be following in her footsteps! ❤️
Pebbles still loves playing with her brothers and is particularly fond of the family's old Border Collie, affectionately known as Grandpa.
🐾 A WONDERFUL START IN LIFE
Pebbles is being raised in a loving foster home alongside adult dogs, cats, chooks, geese and teenagers.
She's also making excellent progress with her training!
🐾 Pen-trained and almost house-trained
🐾 Well socialised with other dogs and a variety of animals (but not chooks)
🐾 Affectionate and increasingly drawn to human companionship
🐾 Playful, friendly and very fond of her canine family
Her foster mum describes her as a really lovely little dog, and it's easy to see why!
🐕 WHAT'S IN THE MIX?
Pebbles is believed to be an Australian Cattle Dog × Kelpie mix, although her parentage is our best estimate.
Both breeds are known for their intelligence, loyalty and trainability. We expect Pebbles to grow into a bright, active and devoted family companion.
🏡 PEBBLES' IDEAL HOME
Pebbles would suit an active, loving household that understands the needs of working breeds.
She doesn't necessarily need acreage, but she will need secure fencing, plenty of companionship, daily exercise and ongoing training and mental stimulation.
Given her love of other dogs, she may particularly enjoy having a friendly canine companion.
✂️ DEFERRED DESEXING PROGRAM
Pebbles will be adopted under ARK's Deferred Desexing Program. Her adoption fee includes desexing, subject to the program's terms and conditions. Her adopter must ensure she does not breed and have her desexed within the required timeframe.
🚗 INTERSTATE APPLICATIONS WELCOME
ARK welcomes interstate applications and can assist with transport advice and arrangements.
