About Jovi
Hello there! I'm Jovi, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR JOVI
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I'd love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• Regular grooming and brushing will keep me looking and feeling my best.
• Most importantly, I'm looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• As an active breed, I have lots of energy, so I'll need an active family who can keep up with me.
•When I get excited, I can be a little bouncy and mouthy, so any children in the home would need to feel comfortable and confident around an energetic, enthusiastic dog joining the family.
• Large breed experience is a must, as I'm going to grow into a very big dog.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
• Training, training, training - it's essential that I receive consistent guidance in every aspect of my life so I can become the very best companion as I mature.
• I enjoy friendly, submissive male and female dogs, but I can play enthusiastically - so a dog with a similar energy level would be ideal. If I'm your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• I was unsure around cats at the shelter and may become more inquisitive as my confidence grows. If I join a home with a cat, they'll need to be dog-savvy and introductions must be gradual and well managed.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I'm a very playful, happy pup with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I'm excited.
• I'm highly food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I'm very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs - total social butterfly!
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I LOVE toys - especially my ball! Fetch and tug-of-war are some of my favourite games.
• I'm exuberant and full of beans, always ready for fun and adventure.
• I'm clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who'll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.
Training:
• Once I'm settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I'd like to head in a different direction. I can also be strong or a bit skittish if startled, so a harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
• My recall needs work, as I can sometimes ignore you if I'm distracted - this is something we'll need to practice together.
• I can be a little bouncy when excited, but consistent training will help me learn calmer behaviours.
• I can feel slightly anxious when left alone in the backyard and may become whining. A home where I can spend plenty of time indoors, have lots of company, and be provided with enrichment toys or treats when alone would suit me best.
Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Jovi if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
