Meet Eli, the sweet and gentle 4kg Jack Russell who's on the lookout for a loving family. With a beautifully calm and soft nature, Eli is the ideal companion for those who appreciate a peaceful yet affectionate canine friend. He’s remarkably well-behaved and you'll hardly ever hear him bark, making him a perfect fit for those who value a tranquil environment but want a joyful presence.

This little guy thrives on love and affection and would happily spend his days cuddled up on the couch with his favorite human, simply enjoying the moment. Whether it's a small run in the backyard, a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, or just watching the world go by, Eli will be by your side with his heart of gold. His love for food is equally delightful, and he relishes his Royal Canin kibbles, chicken necks for lunch, and homemade dinners.

Eli is happiest in a home where he can be more indoors, with access to an outdoor area, like a secure balcony or a backyard, via a doggy door. He's recently been desexed and is still getting accustomed to his new phase, including some marking around the house, which he is expected to grow out of. He would be an excellent match for a household where someone is home often to share cuddles and company. This lapdog extraordinaire enjoys sleeping in a crate but will never say no to snuggling up in the big bed if allowed.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Eli’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Eli the time, patience and support he needs to settle into her new home?

7. How many hours will Eli be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Eli with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Eli be considered a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Eli will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Eli, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, re-home him?
