Patches is a friendly, sociable greyhound who greets everyone with a warm welcome. He has been relaxed when being patted by older children, though he has not yet been exposed to young children. In foster care, Patches has been living happily alongside another female greyhound and the two get along wonderfully. He is friendly with large and medium sized dogs. Inside the home, he is well settled, toilet trained and will politely let you know when he needs to go outside. He does love a good window watch and can let you know when someone is looking suspicious according to Patches, particularly those walking dogs. He is also a good eater who enjoys his meals and is calm around his food

He can manage being alone for up to four hours and enjoys having some toys to keep himself entertained during that time. Patches is an active boy with a healthy energy level, so he will thrive having space to move, explore and play.

Outside Patches is a happy walker, especially at the start of a walk when his excitement is at its peak. He responds well to verbal cues like "wait" and needs to continue learning his leash manners. Patches is calm around busy roads, groups of children, moving vehicles, bikes and skateboards. He jumps into the car on his own and lies down to settle beautifully during travel.

Patches is adaptable and ready to embrace whatever comes next. With the right family to match his energy and curiosity, Patches will make a loyal, entertaining and loving companion.

Patches is not cat or pocket pet tolerant.
