Mia

Mia is a beautiful little girl with a wonderfully soft and loving nature. She is well behaved, affectionate and very easy to fall in love with.

She can be a little sensitive to raised voices and may think she is being told off, even when she is not, but a little reassurance is all she needs. She is also quite fond of investigating pot plants and likes knowing what is happening around the home.

Mia has already picked up some lovely manners. She will sit in the hallway while her food is being prepared and waits patiently until she is given the okay to eat. She tends to graze rather than eat everything at once and is also learning to give her paw. She comes when called most of the time and will sit and wait when asked.

Her toilet training is going really well. With access to a doggy door or an open door to outside, she reliably takes herself out when needed.

Mia is still getting used to walking on a lead, so this is something she will need a little more practice and confidence with.

She is good with both the cat and rabbit in her foster home. As she is still a playful young puppy, she can occasionally get a little boisterous when trying to play with them, so supervision is still important.

Mia loves being close to her people and has even been known to sit on a lap during vet visits. For such a young pup, she is already showing what a clever, gentle and affectionate little companion she is becoming.

Typically, we try our best to match existing dogs with the opposite sex. From our experience this is best practice for the existing animal, the new addition, and the family. Please consider carefully if your existing pet would be ok with a new addition to the family before applying.
