Mimi

Mimi is a girl who believes in doing everything with enthusiasm. Playing? Absolutely. Exploring? Immediately. Headbutts and pats? Yes please! And when the zoomies kick in, well, she's got places to be and absolutely no time to waste!

This lovely little lady arrived at our shelter as a stray with kittens to look after, and understandably, she wasn't too sure about all the unfamiliar people around her. She could be a little protective and cautious, occasionally offering a hiss when things felt overwhelming. But underneath those worries was a curious, affectionate girl who just needed somewhere safe to let her personality shine.

And thanks to her wonderful foster carer, we've discovered that Mimi is actually quite the little character!

She's incredibly playful, loves exploring her surroundings and has become much more confident around people. She'll happily approach for affection, rub her face against you and lean right into those lovely pats. She's also discovered the joys of zooming around the house, and with her healthy appreciation for food, there's rarely a dull moment when Mimi is around!

Now, Mimi does occasionally get a little carried away with all that excitement. During playtime or when she's had enough attention, she might give a quick swipe or playful nip. Sometimes she can even be purring and enjoying pats one moment before deciding she's had enough the next!

Her foster carer has found that paying attention to her body language, giving her breaks and keeping playtime focused on toys rather than hands works wonderfully. Mimi isn't trying to be difficult. She's simply still learning how to manage all those big feelings and communicate what she wants.

Mimi would love a home with someone who appreciates a cat with a big personality and understands that affection is best when it's enjoyed on her terms. Plenty of interactive toys, opportunities to explore and a family who can help her channel all that wonderful energy will make her one happy girl. She's already made such lovely progress in foster care, and we'd love to see her continue blossoming in a permanent home.

Mimi might keep you on your toes, but she'll certainly keep you smiling too. Between the enthusiastic headbutts, spontaneous zoomies and all those little moments when she comes looking for affection, there's a whole lot to love about this cheeky sweetheart.
