Meet Snowy, the gorgeous and spirited young Samoyed who embodies the perfect blend of playful curiosity and sweet-natured charm. At 24kg, he may be a solid and strong pup, but Snowy is quite unaware of his own size, often bouncing around with exuberant puppy energy. His clumsiness only adds to his adorable appeal, especially when he's playing with smaller dogs. A sweet and gentle soul at heart, Snowy is intelligent and eager to learn, although he's still perfecting his manners and needs a bit more guidance to channel that puppy energy productively.

Snowy thrives in an active home, ideally one with another Samoyed companion. A fellow furry friend can serve as a model for Snowy, helping him learn the ropes and settle into his place in the world. Patience, understanding, and knowledge about the Samoyed breed are essential for Snowy’s new family. He can be quite vocal and mischievous when left alone, so he’s searching for a family who can offer him ample exercise, mental stimulation, and the training he needs to flourish. Snowy's luscious double coat requires regular brushing and professional grooming every 4-5 weeks.

While he's not suited to outdoor-only living, Snowy does cherish quality sun-basking time and running around in a secure backyard. His love for food is undeniable; he's the first in line for meals and appreciates big bones to chew on. Snowy is not a dog you'd leave outside, he craves indoor comfort and the love and attention of being part of the family. With consistent training, Snowy has the potential to become a loyal and affectionate companion, bringing endless joy to your home.

* Whether you own or rent your home
***Please also provide some photos of your home, including the areas where Snowy will spend her time and the backyard/outdoor area.

4. Do you currently have any other animals living with you?
If so, please provide details about each animal, including their species, age, breed and personality, and how they generally interact with other animals.

5. Do you have previous experience with Snowy’s breed? If not, have you done thorough research into the breed, including its temperament, exercise needs, grooming, training and potential health requirements?

6. Are you familiar with the long-term responsibilities of dog ownership, including training, socialisation, exercise and ongoing care? Are you willing to give Snowy the time, patience and support he needs to settle into his new home?

7. How many hours will Snowy be left alone on a typical day? Who will be responsible for caring for him during your working hours, absences, holidays or other periods when you are unable to be with him?

8. Are you financially and practically prepared to provide Snowy with quality veterinary care, preventative healthcare, grooming and nutritious food throughout his lifetime?

9. Will Snowy be considered as a member of your family and primarily live indoors, with appropriate access to a secure backyard/outdoor area? Please describe where Snowy will sleep and how he will be accommodated overnight.

10. If your circumstances change in the future and you are no longer able to care for Snowy, do you agree to contact PFPRI and seek our assistance before making any arrangements to surrender, re-home him?
