About Nylah
Hi, I'm Nylah, and I'm quite possibly the sweetest girl you'll ever meet!
I'm a calm, gentle soul who really just wants to be loved. I'm happiest when I'm getting pats, soaking up cuddles, spending time with my people and, of course, eating all the foods!
My start to life hasn't been the easiest. I came into care after having my puppies in a creek bed. I was extremely skinny, but despite everything, I gave those babies absolutely everything I had and was such a good mumma. My little ones have now grown up and are getting ready to head off to their own homes, and I think it's finally time for me to have my turn at being someone's baby.
I've been putting on some much-needed weight (which is a little easier when you love scoffing your food down as much as I do!) and my postpartum hair loss is slowly getting better. I'm feeling much healthier, and my beautiful personality is really starting to shine.
I'm a very social girl and get along super well with dogs of all shapes and sizes. In fact, I'm quite the playful little thing! I love giving my doggy friends a play bow, chasing them around and having a good old zoomie session. So, while I might seem like a calm and gentle girl, I've definitely got a fun, youthful side to me! I'd really love a home with another friendly dog to keep me company. Having a doggy sibling to play with and share life with would make me one very happy girl.
I've also been very gentle with children and have shown just how lovely I am with little humans. Cats, however, are probably best avoided. I'm not cranky towards them, but I was a little too interested for everyone's liking. With my background as a mustering dog, a cat-free home would be the safest and best fit for me.
I've recently been given the opportunity to spend more time inside, and let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE it! I'm enjoying all the comforts of indoor life and haven't had any accidents inside so far. I'm still relatively new to this whole indoor living thing, so I can't confidently say I'm fully toilet trained just yet, but I'm a very smart girl and I'm sure with a little patience and consistency I'll pick it up in no time.
When it comes to walkies, I'm a very gentle girl on the lead and don't pull, although I wouldn't exactly call myself a perfectly trained walking companion just yet. I much prefer to stop and smell alllllllllllll the smells along the way. There's no need to rush when there are so many interesting things to sniff! I'm still learning about the big wide world, and some things can make me a little nervous. I haven't experienced a whole lot in my life, so even something like a garden hose can be a bit scary for me. I'll need a family who can give me a little reassurance, patience and encouragement as I discover all the wonderful things life has to offer.
One important thing my new family will need to know is that I'll need secure fencing of at least 5ft. I'm not quite a Houdini, but I can jump smaller fences, so a nice secure yard is a must to keep me safe.
More than anything, I'm just looking for a family who will love me. I'm a real snuggler and will happily soak up all the pats and affection you're willing to give. I don't need a fancy lifestyle or endless adventures. Just a comfy home, a friendly doggy sibling, a family who understands that I might need a little help navigating some new experiences, and plenty of love (and snacks, obviously!).
I've spent so much of my life looking after my babies, and now that they're all growing up, I'd really love someone to look after me. I think it's my turn to be spoiled, don't you?
Love, Nylah xx-
