Meet Bingo — a bright Border Collie seeking space and a home of her own
Bingo is a 4½-year-old female Border Collie weighing 20.8kg. Clever and people-focused, she has great recall, knows “sit” and “stay”, and has a gentle nature with people when introduced slowly.
Bingo has been with her family since she was eight weeks old. Following a family separation and a move into a townhouse, she is struggling with reduced space and fewer opportunities for activity. Her family is seeking a home better suited to her needs.
At home, Bingo is toilet trained, comfortable both indoors and outdoors, and is not known to chew, dig or jump fences. Her family reports no separation anxiety.
Bingo must be the only pet in her new home. She cannot live with dogs or cats and is unsuitable for a home with pocket pets. She has attacked other dogs within the household, reportedly when guarding access to her people. This requires careful management and full separation from other pets.
Outside the home, Bingo pulls on the lead and is highly reactive to dogs, electric scooters, bicycles and larger vehicles, including buses, vans and trucks. She needs an experienced, patient owner who can manage these triggers and support her with reward-based training and professional guidance.
Her ideal home is a quiet, spacious property with secure fencing and little passing vehicle or pedestrian traffic. She would suit an active adult household or a family with children over five who are comfortable around a boisterous dog. She needs daily enrichment and activity tailored to her health and tolerance.
Bingo’s family reports episodes of suspected Border Collie Collapse, although this has not been formally diagnosed. We recommend that her new owner undertakes a vet assessment once adopted to clarify this and guide safe exercise.
Bingo is desexed, fully vaccinated and up to date with her monthly parasite treatments.
With space, understanding and the right support, Bingo has plenty to offer a dedicated owner who appreciates both her bright mind and her individual needs.
