About Rogue
Meet Rogue - one very special lady
Rogue is a stunning 6 year old sphynx who is looking for her purrrrfect forever home. Rogue has never lived with cats before and whilst slow introductions have been attempted over several weeks, she is quite the stubborn girl who knows what she likes (and what she doesn't) and is not in the slightest bit interested in other cats and shows a lot of aggression towards them. For this reason, Rogue must be STRICTLY an only cat - this is NOT negotiable.
Rogue has lived with dogs before and she doesn't like them either so she needs to be an only pet.
Rogue is looking for a home with previous breed experience who understands the quirks and special needs of this breed.
Rogue lives a strictly indoor life and loves a good smooch. Once she likes you, she is all in. Rogue will follow you around the house and loves to jump up on your shoulders. Rogue LOVES her food and nothing will stop her eating anything put in front her though she is on a balanced diet to ensure she gets the nutrients she needs.
Rogue was made to wear clothes 24/7 since she was a kitten and it seems that she now struggles to self-regulate her body temperature when it is cold. She will come with her clothes to put on her in the cooler months.
Rogue is a bit of a dirty girl however she has never been bathed and as she likes to throw her weight around when she doesn't like something, we haven't attempted to introduce her to this at her current age. Regular cleaning with pet-wipes is a must and daily eye cleans are necessary too.
Rogue likes to do things on her terms though a bit of encouragement with food when she wants to put her paw down and not listen always works a treat.
Medical conditions
Rogue recently underwent some health tests as this breed is predisposed to cardiac disease. It has been found that Rogue has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. Rogue had an echocardiogram with a cardiologist who has stated it appears as though she has early hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) though there is no indication to start her on any medications as yet. Due to the potential of this advancing, Rogue MUST have annual health checks with your vet even if she appears outwardly ok. We would suggest doing some research on this disease first as changes can occur within 12 months. Cats are very stoic and can hide symptoms of illness well
