Meet Collin
A sweet little man with excellent manners and a very serious appreciation for a good pat!
Collin is the kind of boy who doesn't need to be the loudest in the room to make an impression. He's a gentle, affectionate fellow who likes to take life at a comfortable pace, spending much of his downtime minding his own business. But don't be fooled by his laid-back approach to life - when there's a friendly face nearby, Collin is more than happy to wander over and see what's happening! He's particularly fond of affection and has mastered the art of leaning into your hands for pats, preferably with no interruptions. He's also got some lovely manners, including a reliable sit, and is learning how to drop with a little encouragement. He might not be ready to compete in an obedience championship just yet, but Collin reckons being handsome, polite and an all-round lovely fellow should count for something!
While Collin has plenty of love to give, he's still working on finding his confidence in unfamiliar situations. He's curious about other dogs and willing to say hello, but for now, Collin would be happiest as the only dog in the home, with a family who can help him build his confidence through gentle, positive experiences. A calm household would suit him beautifully, and he's open to meeting children. Previous breed experience would be helpful but isn't essential, provided his new family is patient and understanding of his needs. Collin isn't asking for much - just a comfortable place to relax, a little encouragement when life feels overwhelming and someone who appreciates a sweet boy with a softer side.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
