About Lily
Meet Lily!
Lily is a very shy and timid girl, especially around new people, but once she feels comfortable and learns to trust you, she becomes extremely affectionate and loving. She just needs a little time and patience to let her true personality shine.
She would be much happier in a home with another friendly, confident cat, as having a feline companion helps her feel safe and gives her the confidence to explore her surroundings.
She loves all treats, especially biscuits and liquid treats, and enjoys playing with her toys. Lily can be easily frightened by loud noises and sudden movements, so she needs a calm home with older children or adults only.
The best way to approach Lily is to get down to her level and gently call her over. If you simply bend down towards her, she may become frightened and run away. Let her come to you in her own time, and she will gradually learn to trust you.
Lily needs someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her blossom at her own pace. Once she feels safe, you'll discover just how affectionate and loving this little girl can be.
Lily is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Lily - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
