About Buddy
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Lots of cuddles to give Buddy
- Kids 8 years and over
Buddy is a sweet, friendly and super affectionate boy!
He loves meeting new people and will happily say hello to everyone he comes across. At home he’s a true velcro dog. He likes to stay close by and his favourite afternoon activity is curling up and snoozing right beside you.
He walks nicely on the leash, never pulls, and is calm and curious about the world around him. Even when other dogs carry on at him from behind a fence, he stays relaxed and unbothered. He’s comfortable in busy environments too, although he’s very unaware just how big he is, so he’ll need a little guidance on crowded footpaths. He’s enjoyed walking with another greyhound and they got along really well.
Buddy enjoys a longer walk when he can get one, but is just as content with a 20 minute stroll in the morning and evening. He has a fun case of the zoomies every couple of days and enjoys a play with his toys. He jumps in and out of the car by himself and settles down with a bit of patience.
He’s very gentle and has never barged into his foster family, making him a lovely match for an older person, as well as a solo dog home or one with a doggy friend. He hasn’t been left home alone for long periods yet, but so far he hasn’t shown much stress when left.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
