Meet Elroy
A laid-back little dude who's discovered that life is much nicer when you come out of hiding!
Elroy is a sweet, affectionate boy with a wonderfully chilled-out approach to life. He's not the boldest cat on the block, but he's been making lovely progress with his confidence! Once upon a time, Elroy preferred to keep himself tucked away, but these days he's discovering that being out and about isn't so bad after all - especially when there are chin scratches on offer! He's a gentle little soul who, when things feel overwhelming, will quietly excuse himself and find somewhere peaceful. No drama, no theatrics, just a polite little guy who knows when he need a break! Elroy absolutely loves pats and chin scratches, and while he tolerates being picked up, he'd much rather settle himself on your lap and enjoy affection on his own terms. Toys and treats haven't quite captured his interest, but a lovely chin scratch and a peaceful afternoon? Now you're speaking Elroy's language! He's also got excellent litter tray manners and prefers an enclosed tray. A gentleman appreciates a little privacy, after all!
Elroy would be happiest in a quieter home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. He could suit an experienced cat owner or a gentle, patient first-time owner who understands that some cats prefer a softer approach to life. He’s suitable for cat-savvy children, and he could potentially share his home with another cat following slow introductions. Elroy doesn't need grand adventures or a house full of entertainment, he's looking for someone who appreciates the little things in life, like a warm lap, a gentle hand and the quiet comfort of being loved.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
