Meet Pepito
A little gentleman with a big personality and a rather impressive meerkat impression!
Pepito is a happy, affectionate little fellow who has mastered the art of taking life as it comes. While the other dogs are busy announcing every little thing happening around them, Pepito is usually far too occupied with his beauty sleep to get involved. But the moment he spots a friendly face, that little tail starts wagging and he's ready to clock in for his favourite activity - collecting affection like they’re poker tokens! He's an absolute sweetie who loves pats, happily welcomes handling and has no hesitation about climbing straight into your lap for a cuddle. As for his obedience skills? Well, let's just say Pepito has decided that sitting like a meerkat is far more impressive than sitting like a dog! He hasn't quite mastered his basic commands yet, but he does enjoy a tasty reward none the less.
Pepito is a fairly easy going little character who would love a home where he can enjoy plenty of cuddles, comfortable snoozing spots and the occasional opportunity to show off his two-legged balancing act. Pepito can be a little particular about having his personal space respected especially when it comes to meal time. When it comes to other dogs, Pepito is best suited to being the only dog in his new home. His family will need to help him build confidence but other than that this lovable boy is ready to settle into family life and make himself right at home. With his wagging tail, affectionate nature and questionable interpretation of basic obedience, Pepito is proof that you don't need perfect manners to be an absolutely delightful little dog!

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
