Soka is a sweet, independent girl who just needs a little time and patience to let her beautiful personality shine. She can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, but once she feels safe and settled, you'll discover an affectionate, curious girl who loves having a little adventure and plenty of time to snooze. 🥰
You'll often find Soka perched on her cat tree or a shelf by the window, watching the world go by. She loves exploring her surroundings, playing with string and wand toys, and enjoying her favourite creamy treats. And when she's in the mood for affection, she's more than happy to ask for pats and belly rubs! Don't worry, her belly rubs are genuinely safe – no tricks here! 😂💗 Just keep in mind that Soka prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, as being picked up isn't really her thing.
Soka would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a patient person who understands that trust takes time. Someone who works from home would be ideal, as she enjoys having company while still being perfectly content doing her own thing. Sudden loud noises and fast movements can startle her, so a peaceful environment where she can feel secure is important.
Soka may not be the kind of girl who runs straight into your arms, but with a little understanding and a lot of love, she has so much affection to give. Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
