Ohio is a vibe! – Big Floof, Bigger Personality. Ohio is a stunning floofy boy with a big personality, plenty of swagger and a flair for the dramatic — especially when dinner is running late! This handsome character knows what he wants, and he’s never shy about letting you know when he’s absolutely, positively STARVING.
Ohio has had a tough start in life and is still learning that people can be trusted. He’ll need a patient, gentle home where he can settle in at his own pace, without any pressure to be more affectionate than he’s comfortable with. He’s not a fan of being handled just yet, but food is definitely the way to his heart! He’s happy to accept pats while enjoying his meals and may even climb all over you for a particularly delicious creamy treat. Once the food disappears, though, his shyer side comes out.
Ohio may never be the kind of cat who curls up on your lap, but that doesn’t mean he won’t bring plenty of joy to your home. He has a wonderful personality, and his antics and confident little swagger are endlessly entertaining. He loves finding the highest, most important perch on the cat tree, where he can survey his kingdom, or dramatically flopping onto the floor to show off his belly. He also likes to keep tabs on what you’re doing, and you’ll often find him perched nearby, quietly supervising your every move.
He’ll be waiting near his bowl at breakfast and dinner, putting on a very convincing performance about how he hasn’t eaten in weeks. He’ll need to continue on a diet consisting mainly of wet food, although he can manage occasional smaller biscuits. Shredded chicken and creamy treats are also a big hit!
Ohio is looking for a special person who understands that trust takes time and that every cat shows affection in their own way. With patience, kindness and a safe place to call home, he’ll have the chance to keep growing in confidence and show off more of the wonderful character hiding beneath all that floof.
