About Rosie
Meet Daisy, the charming Dachshund with a heart full of love to share. Her adorable, compact size makes her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a delightful dog that is easy to manage and cuddle. Born around February 27, 2023, Rosie's zest for life is evident in everything she does. She walks well on a lead, making every stroll an enjoyable adventure, although her curious nature occasionally leads her to be momentarily side-tracked by interesting sights and sounds.
Despite her petite stature, Daisy has a larger-than-life personality that shines, especially in her interactions with other dogs here at the shelter. She thrives in social settings and adores being around people. Offering her a treat and some affectionate pats leads to instant friendship; you'll be met by a wagging tail and a wagging tail and lots of snuggles in return.
Daisy is eager to explore and ready for fun. Her capacity to recall is most of the time reliable, though her curiosity might occasionally take the lead. She hasn't yet been tested with cats, but her gentle demeanor suggests she'd be a lovely companion to anyone. Whether you're looking for a companion to embark on leisurely walks or simply a sweet presence by your side, Rosie promises a bundle of affection and joy to anyone's household.
If you're seeking a loving, loyal, and playful addition to your family, consider welcoming Daisy into your life. She's waiting to find a place where she can shower you with Dachshund devotion and endless cuddles.
Medical notes
Daisy has been vet checked and desexed. Her vet noted that both front feet angle outwards at the wrists, and she also has an inward angling of the back legs, sometimes described as being bow legged.
At her examination Daisy showed no signs of limping or lameness.
This describes how she was moving on the day and does not guarantee that her legs wont cause problems in the future.
We want potential adopters to understand her vet findings and encourage them to discuss any future care needs with their vet.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
