About Gilbert
Gilbert, our sweet, gentle cuddler. LOVES lap time and will happily keep you comapny whilst you’re at your work station.
He is vision impaired. This doesn’t hold him back but it means settling in may take him a wee but longer as he needs to understand where everything is.
When he was rescued by a lovely couple as a lone kitten, it was apparent something was amiss with his eyes. Straight to the vet he went, so tiny! The conjunctiva had attached itself to both eye balls… we had to wait until he was stronger before a symbalpharon release could be done under anaesthetic.
Gilbert will always have impaired vision and we stress that he must be kept inside.
He adores other cats of all shapes and sizes although slow introductions will still be encouraged to ensure things go smoothly (if you have pets at home already).
He’s chatty! He does this soft trills… very cute!
Ideal family will be with gentle older children, so bo toddlers for Gil.
Medical notes
see description above. conjunctiva was attached to both eye balls. vet performed a symbalpharon release under anaesthetic. His vision is impaired.
