About Flip
Fantastic Flip! An enthusiastic, friendly, and smaller-sized kelpie boy, Flip has a zest for life and a curious nature.
Flip loves his people and enjoys being part of the goings on! He is learning basic manners – he sits willingly on command and is trying to be patient and wait for his dinner. Being food motivated means using treats in his training works well. He can’t always contain his happiness though, and is still learning to keep his four paws on the ground! Flip generally doesn’t pull on the lead and loves accompanying you for a hike in the bush or along a trail. He would be a good running partner.
Flip chases the ball with gusto and brings it back (nearly!). He loves to sniff and potter around the place. Flip has been introduced to the horses and enjoys going out into the paddock with you to catch them. He likes to watch them from a respectful distance and is not sure yet if they are interesting or just intimidating! Flip has good recall, racing back to you enthusiastically with a whistle. Flip loves the car, sitting up on the tray or the back seat watching the scenery go by on a trip. He is fostered on acreage with only farm fencing and does not wander with supervision. He is quiet when he is left home in his secure dog yard with a treat.
Flip gets along well with his older kelpie foster brother. He is also just as happy hanging out with his humans or entertaining himself with a toy or zooming big circles with whatever he grabs first as a treasure (a stick or maybe a shoe!).
Flip loves coming inside in the evening on his bed. He also quietly sleeps in his kennel overnight. Daybreak signals more fun on the horizon, and Flip’s excitement cannot be contained on seeing you in the morning - leaping for joy and chattering away ready to embrace the day!
A young kelpie with plenty of smarts and spirit, Flip will do best in a home with time to spend with him and a commitment to nurturing his cleverness and potential. The calm and space provided by a regional environment do suit him. Flip would do well with an individual, couple or a family with older children. Flip would be happy as an only dog having his human(s) to himself, or with an older calm dog as a mentor.

To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at https://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-process-forms/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
