About Angus
Meet Angus, an endearing 5-year-old Poodle who weighs in at just 8.8 kg. With a heart as tender as his curls, Angus might initially be shy, but he’s truly a gentle soul waiting for a kind family with time, patience, and understanding to help him feel comfortable and relaxed.
Angus hasn't yet mastered walking on a lead, so together, you can embark on a journey of learning and trust-building. With time, Angus will learn to follow your lead and respond to his name, making him a delightful, loyal companion to those who win his trust. At the shelter, he has shown acceptance toward other small dogs, indicating his potential to be a lovely addition to your family whether you currently have other pets or not. However, since he hasn't been tested with cats, it may take some introductions to determine his compatibility with feline friends.
Initially a little standoffish, Angus has a curious nature and will slowly warm up to his new family and surroundings. With gentle encouragement, you'll discover he loves attention and will gradually come around to accepting cuddles and being picked up. Because of his initial shyness, Angus would thrive best in a quiet, calm household where he can take his time to blossom fully at his own pace.
Welcoming Angus into your home means offering a nurturing environment for him to grow in confidence and joy. If you have a serene lifestyle and an appreciation for the transformative power of patience and love, Angus is ready to fill your world with warmth and companionship.
Angus is located at our shelter in Batlow NSW. Thats approx 5 hours from Melbourne and Sydney, 2 to 3 hours from canberra. You will need to be able to come to the shelter within a week of approved adoption to meet him.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
