About Bluey
Hello there! I'm Bluey, and I'm officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR BLUEY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM

My Ideal Home:
• I'll need daily exercise - walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• I’m gentle and placid in nature, and I’ve had some basic obedience training — I’m generally a well-mannered dog. I know my basic commands like sit and shake, and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I want to be part of the family indoors getting lots of love and attention - not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• I enjoy the company of friendly male and female dogs — or, if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• With a slow and thoughtful introduction, I may be able to live with a gentle, quiet cat.
• I did meet some chickens at the shelter and ignored them until they moved, then I was curious. Free range chickens may not be a good idea with me around, as they will be fun to chase.
• I am food motivated, so this will help with future training.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I'm quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who’ll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.
Training:
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I’d like to head in a different direction. A harness or head halter would really help while I continue my training.
Extras:
• My previous owner mentioned that I would sometimes dig when left alone in the yard. A secure yard is very important for me, and I may benefit from enrichment — or even a canine companion — to keep me mentally stimulated and prevent boredom.
Please Note: You'll only be able to meet Bluey if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
Shelter staff make the final decision based on determining if the applicant can meet the animal's needs (lifestyle, home environment, experience) Our goal is to ensure a permanent home that sets both the animal and new family up for success.
Shelter staff reserve the right to deny an adoption if they determine the animal's specific needs do not match the applicant's lifestyle.
