About Nova rstk004044
Meet Nova, a handsome mature gentleman who is a self-confessed scaredy-cat! This sensitive soul isn't one for loud noises, sudden movements or the hustle and bustle of a busy household. In fact, Nova's idea of heaven is a peaceful home in a very quiet street, shared with just one or perhaps two special people. He needs time, patience and understanding to feel safe and secure, but once he's comfortable, you'll discover a wonderfully laid-back fellow with a very sweet personality.
When life is calm and all is right in his world, Nova knows exactly how to enjoy himself! He loves nothing more than snuggling under a cosy doona for an afternoon snooze, enjoying a good play session followed by some quality lap time, and of course, indulging in his favourite pastime – eating! He also enjoys climbing up high to find the perfect vantage point to keep an eye on what's happening around him. If you work from home, Nova would make an excellent office assistant, happily keeping you company while snoozing on your desk. Just don't expect him to help with the paperwork!
Nova is looking for a very quiet, predictable home without children, canines or other felines. He's not interested in sharing his peaceful kingdom with anyone who might disturb his serenity! His ideal person will understand that he's naturally timid and won't expect him to be a confident social butterfly. Give Nova the calm environment, gentle approach and security he needs, and you'll be rewarded with a delightful companion who loves being close to his favourite human. If your idea of a perfect day involves peace, quiet, a cosy doona and a feline friend keeping you company, Nova could be your perfect match!

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
