Meet Missy,
Missy is a world-class dame — she's sweet, she's kind and she's a certified good girl.
With her calm presence and gentle manners, this lovely lady knows how to carry herself. She walks beautifully on lead, takes treats with all the delicacy you'd expect from a proper lady and even has a few tricks tucked up her dainty sleeve, including sit and drop. Missy is a girl of simple pleasures. Treats are nice. Toys are okay. Attention and affection are obviously deserved, but she'll be keeping her dignity intact and won't be begging for either. She's generally relaxed and enjoys spending time with people and is equally happy doing her own thing - perhaps daydreaming about her future home. Very demure. Very mindful.
Of course, even a world-class dame has her moments! Busy environments and unfamiliar situations can sometimes leave Missy feeling a little unsure, but with gentle encouragement she's shown she can find her confidence again. She's also a lady who appreciates her personal space, particularly when she's feeling uncomfortable or enjoying her meals - because nobody likes someone hovering over their dinner! Missy would be a lovely match for an experienced owner who understands her independent personality, respects her boundaries and gives her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. She's not looking to be the centre of attention every minute of the day — after all, a lady doesn't chase after everything she wants... Sometimes she simply waits for the right person to come along.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
