About Ollie STA015527
Meet Ollie, a handsome ginger gentleman who is ready to put his paws up and enjoy a well-earned retirement! This distinguished senior knows exactly what he likes, what he doesn't like and has absolutely no hesitation in sharing his opinions. At his stage in life, Ollie has earned the right to do things his way, and being a ginger, he certainly isn't planning on changing for anyone! Beneath that strong personality is a charming fellow who simply wants to enjoy the good life on his own terms.
Ollie's retirement wish list is pretty straightforward: a nice warm bed, a full food bowl, a peaceful indoor-only home and a human who understands that he is the boss of his own little world. He's not interested in a busy household, noisy children or bothersome canines, thank you very much! A quiet, predictable home with an experienced, cat-savvy person who understands feline body language, respects his boundaries and appreciates a cat with plenty of character would suit him perfectly. Ollie is quite happy to let you know when he's had enough attention, so listening to his opinions is all part of the deal.
Ollie does have one rather important household requirement: a high-sided litter tray. This isn't because he's particularly fussy, but rather to prevent any little accidents over the edge. It's really for his human's benefit, as Ollie couldn't care less about the clean-up! If you're looking for a handsome, independent senior with a big personality, a healthy dose of ginger attitude and a clear set of retirement rules, Ollie could be your perfect match. Give him comfort, respect and a peaceful place to call his own, and this wonderful old gentleman will be ready to settle into the retirement he deserves!

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
