About Travis STK015650
Meet Travis, a handsome young teenager with a gentle soul who is still discovering just how wonderful life can be when you have a loving family to call your own. Travis came to us as a frightened stray, having never known the comfort, security and love of his very own home. We placed him into foster care to help build his confidence and give him the opportunity to learn that humans can be trusted. While he has made lovely progress, Travis is still a shy boy who can be easily startled by sudden movements and loud noises. But beneath that timid exterior, we know there's a fantastic personality just waiting to shine!
One thing Travis absolutely adores is the company of other cats! He loves his feline friends and gains so much confidence from watching and learning from them. His perfect forever home must have a friendly, confident feline companion who can show him the ropes, help him feel safe and, of course, become his partner in playtime and mischief. A quiet, peaceful home without children or canines is essential for this sensitive young fellow, as too much noise and activity can be overwhelming.
Travis is looking for a special family who understands that building trust takes time and that love, patience and gentle encouragement are the keys to winning his heart. He's not quite ready to take on the world, but with a little nurturing, a confident feline bestie by his side and a human who celebrates every small step forward, this gorgeous boy has every opportunity to blossom. If you have a calm home, a kind heart and a friendly cat looking for a new mate, Travis could be the perfect addition to your family. Sometimes the most beautiful friendships are the ones that take a little time to grow!

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
