About The spice girls! ♑
Meet our gorgeous trio of girls who are ready to swap life as stray wanderers for a safe, loving forever home!
These three ladies arrived at the pound as strays on 22 October. Although their previous lives are a mystery, one thing is clear: they appear to be well accustomed to people and handling. They are easy to handle and enjoy human company, as well as spending time together. 💗
Their ages are unknown, but they're full of charm and have so much potential to make wonderful companions for the right family.
🏡 We're looking for a PET HOME ONLY. These girls are searching for a family who will love them as individuals, enjoy their quirky goat personalities and give them the happy, secure life they deserve — not a home where they will be used for meat.
🌿 New to goats? Here's what their dream home looks like!
You don't necessarily need to be a goat expert to enquire, but you do need to be prepared for their specific needs.
🌳 Space to roam and explore
Goats are curious, active animals who love to browse, climb and investigate their surroundings. They need a suitably sized, secure paddock or outdoor area with room to move, explore and play.
🔒 Good fencing is a must!
A strong, well-maintained fence, around 1.2 metres high as a general guide, is a good starting point. Gates and gaps need to be secure, too.
🏠 Shelter from the weather
They need a dry, well-ventilated shelter where they can get out of the rain, wind and hot sun, with comfortable space for all three to rest together.
🌾 A goat-friendly diet
Despite their reputation for eating absolutely everything, goats need a balanced diet! Good-quality hay and suitable browse or pasture should form the basis of their diet, alongside constant access to clean, fresh water and appropriate goat minerals. Their diet must be suitable for their individual needs, and toxic plants and unsuitable treats need to be kept out of reach.
🐐 Company is important
Luckily, these girls already have each other! Goats are social herd animals, so we'd love to see this little trio stay together in a home where they can continue enjoying one another's company.
🤓 Did you know?
Goats are much smarter than many people realise! They can learn routines, solve problems, recognise familiar individuals and remember how to complete tasks. They also love enrichment, so sturdy climbing platforms, interesting browse and simple activities can help keep their curious minds busy.
Imagine having three little personalities following you around, investigating everything you do and keeping each other entertained!
💖 Could you offer these three lovely ladies the life they deserve?
If you have the space, secure fencing, suitable facilities and a big enough heart for three goats, we'd love to hear from you!
Please tell us a little about your property, your experience with goats (if any), the fencing and shelter you have available, and how you plan to care for them.
Let's find these girls a safe, permanent home where they can stay together, be loved and enjoy life as cherished pets. 🐐💕
